Plug it in and go

The Mobile S is not only easy to use, but it is easy
to set up and install. A USB connection from a PC to the AFM controller and
a single cable from the controller to the AFM head handle
all the power, video and control signals. Powering up
the AFM controller with a standard power cord is all that is left
to the installation. And, with the controller's optional rechargeable battery, even the need for the power cord is eliminated. The software installer on the CD automates
the rest of the process, making the installation easy,
fast, and trouble-free. |

High Resolution

A high resolution scanner option gives you the ability
to resolve nm-size structures, atomic steps, and measure
angstrom level roughness.
|
| |
Large Scan Range

The Mobile S large scanner
allows scan sizes up to 110 microns. The very large
22 micron Z range allows imaging of very rough surfaces
and samples with a large radius of curvature. |
| |
Mobility

Take it anywhere - the AFM
and control electronics fit inside a single briefcase.
Use of a laptop computer, in conjunction with the AFM's optional rechargeable battery, allows you to take the entire
system wherever you want...even to places without AC power. |
| |
Stand-alone
capability

The Mobile S can be used with
or without a sample holder and translation stage. When
the sample stage is not used, the AFM is simply placed
on any surface to be imaged, enabling very large surfaces
to be imaged without destruction. |
