Nanosurf Phase Lock Loop

Use the easyPLL Sensor Controller and digital FM Detector for scanning probe microscopy applications such as UHV AFM, MFM, and NSOM. The Sensor Controller provides the oscillation circuit to drive the AFM sensor (cantilever or tuning fork) at its resonance frequency. The Digital FM detector provides frequency detection. The modules can be used together or separately as stand-alone modules.

What's new...

Though operation and the tried and true functions of the easyPLL remain the same, the easyPLL plus reduces noise by a factor of three, thanks to a new sine generator. A low pass filter reduces noise even more. The new digital phase shifter for the reference signal improves accuracy.

Full 360° phase shifts at any frequency are made possible by the improved analog phase shifter and the new adjustable intergral gain add precision and flexibility to the amplitude controller.

Adaption to suit individual or custom homemade AFM systems has been simplified with its new adjustable demodulation bandwidth and larger frequency lock range.
Laborious tip changing is minimalised by the TipguardTM function which prevents inadvertent tip crashes and allows the user to set the response speed.

Before measuring, the new easyPLL plus software performs and plots a full spectrum analysis of the sensor amplitude and phrase shift then self adjusts the sensor's center frequency.
