This dithiol forms stable SAM surfaces. SAMs terminated with a carboxyl group can be used as tethers to attach amino-terminated moleclues. This thiol can also be used in mixed monolayers, for example mixing the carboxylic-terminated with the hydroxy-terminated compund (CDT001) in a ratio of 1:10 results in a very stable and homogeneous mixed SAM.

We currently offer Whitesides monothiols and aromatic-dithiols in 10mg quantities. Larger quantities are available upon request.
